Made In America
Our designs are crafted in America. Quality, efficiency, and community were motivators to produce in America, benefiting our customers, the environment, and the communities and economies where they are built.

Full Circle Sustainability
We strive to achieve full circle sustainability. By considering the efficiency and environmental impact of design, materials, manufacturing, delivery, and quality of each product, we go beyond the norm to offer products that truly make sense for the environment and our customers.

Made by Craftsmen
Our products are built by craftsmen who are skilled and passionate about their areas of expertise. We do not use sweatshop labor, and work with other reputable and responsible manufacturers that share our ideals.

Low VOC / non-Toxic
All of our products use the best solution for the environment, both indoors and out. We use non-toxic and low VOC glues, finishes, fabrics, and foams wherever and whenever possible.

Estimated life (generations)

One major, yet often overlooked aspect of being green is looking at the life of a product. Acronym products are designed to last a lifetime, some products will last many lifetimes! This results in less energy and material being used to make and deliver new goods to replace broken and old products. Also, Acronym products won't be taking up space in landfills, like furniture from so many other big box stores.

All wood used in Acronym products is derived from reclaimed, recovered, or sustainably grown sources.  This approach reduces the use of virgin trees, eliminates the unsustainable use of forests, and reduces waste sent to landfills.

ReClaimed wood is old growth wood that had previously served as structural or functional components of barns, building timbers, rail road ties, or other products. Old growth wood tends to be denser, with fine grain and superb coloring.

ReCovered wood has been salvaged from the manufacture of consumer or industrial products. Sixty three million metric tons of wood scrap per year provides ample opportunity and inspiration for new uses of this wasted material.

Sustainable wood is produced from managed forests, such as FSC certified, that are responsibly grown and harvested.  These initiatives include the assurance that areas of natural wealth and endangered wildlife habitat are not being negatively affected during planting and harvest and that the rights of workers and indigenous communities are respected. All of these policies insure that the forests natural heritage remains for future generations to enjoy.
